BeMo – Project Intelligence Launches Powerful New Dedicated Microsoft Project Server 2010 Hosting Solutions

Nov. 30, 2010 – Henderson, NV – Hot on the heels of their “Project Momentum 2010” showcase in Barcelona, BeMo – Project Intelligence launches two of the most powerful on-demand, dedicated server solutions for Microsoft Project Server 2010. Expanding from their versatile and robust ‘My BeMo’ plan, the new member of the Microsoft Certified Partner family launched BeMo VM and BeMo Pro this week with BeMo VM Lite scheduled to launch mid December. This rounds out BeMo’s suite of hosting solutions – covering the full spectrum of Project Server user scenarios.

“Our team has been working very hard to meet our target for a November release of our large-scale, dedicated server plans, BeMo VM and BeMo Pro, but after having face-time with some of the top players in the Microsoft Project Family in Barcelona, we found that there was also a huge need for a service plan specifically designed for Proof of Concept. So we created BeMo VM Lite to provide EPM consultants and developers with a tailored solution for managing their Proof of Concept that is more cost effective and efficient compared to other options,” commented Joel Lachance, BeMo co-founder and VP of Operations.

With the launch of these versatile new service plans, BeMo has raised the bar for on-demand hosting solutions for Microsoft Project Sever 2010 in terms of cost savings, deployment speed, up time and functionality compared to on-site deployment or other hosted solutions. This true, on-demand hosting also provides the ability to migrate up from one plan to another.

“By providing a full array of add-ons and functionality such as Excel Services and Microsoft Business Intelligence, along with being enabled for Exchange and ADDS integration, consultants and large-scale users are going to have a lot more to be happy about. Not to mention the project clients that will see the lion’s share of their budgets now going towards development rather than infrastructure and hosting,” adds Lachance.

BeMo’s complete range of offerings are built on state-of-the-art, cluster infrastructures that deliver the high availability and load balancing required for business continuity in today’s complex enterprises. Adding even more value to what is being touted as the ultimate Project Server hosting solutions, is hourly local data back up and daily back up on a disaster recovery (DR) site, providing BeMo customers with complete confidence that their Project Server 2010 instance will be available when they need it most.

With the millions of Microsoft Project 2007 users around the globe looking forward to stepping up to the 2010 iteration, BeMo is leading the way to unlocking the full power of the most versatile Enterprise Project Management platform available on the planet.

Emergency Maintenance – Nov 27-11PM PST until Nov 28 – 1AM PST

Date: Sunday, November 28, 2010 (11/28/2010)
Start time (GMT+00:00): 07:00 AM
End time (GMT+00:00): 09:00 AM
Services affected: Public / Private Networks
Location: DAL01
Duration: 2 hours

SoftLayer Engineers will be performing emergency maintenance on DAR01.SR01.DAL01 in an effort to correct intermittent latency / packetloss issues. For the duration of the maintenance, traffic flowing through DAR01.SR01.DAL01 will be redirected through DAR02.SR01.DAL01.

Customers can expect to see latency / packetloss as routes reconverge across redundant routers on both the public and private networks. While the maintenance window is set for 2 hours, we expect the maintenance to take no longer than 20 minutes while the router reloads.

Again, this maintenance pertains to customers with servers in DAL01 and DAL05 along with any traffic from other datacenters destined for the Dallas network.

If you have any problems after this time frame with regard to connectivity, or if you have any questions regarding the maintenance at any point, please open a ticket in the customer portal or contact our support via phone.

We appreciate your patience during this work and welcome any feedback.

Thank you,

BeMo buzzes in Barcelona

The Project Momentum event was great success in many ways.

It was our first opportunity to introduce BeMo hosted services to the European market, and it also coincided with the sign up of our first customer in Europe. Presenting alongside a very select audience compromised of Microsoft MVP, Gold and Silver partners that specialize in Project Server, it was the perfect opportunity for BeMo’s VP Joel Lachance to forge new alliances with partners from across Europe and the US. Joel was impressed that many people already knew about BeMo before he introduced himself as BeMo’s VP. Bottom line, we made a lot of new friends during the event.

It was also a great place to gain invaluable industry insight about our offerings. Joel was impressed by the feedback received: “How can you guys do this? I run your service in the EU and not only I was able to have it provisioned quickly, it runs fast” and “BeMo did not spare any effort to add new languages in record time”.

Overall, Microsoft partners clearly understand the value proposition presented by BeMo and welcome the innovation, which in their opinion will greatly benefit their clients by allowing them to spend more resources on consulting and not on hosting.

So what next for BeMo?

We were spot on when we launched BeMo in six new languages earlier this month and we will continue down this path. As a matter of fact, this is creating new opportunities for BeMo and its partners by lowering one important barrier that prevented wide adoption of Project Server.

Additionally, this month we are officially launching new offerings My BeMo VM and My BeMo Pro, for customers that require a dedicated server solution with the ability to integrate the Project Server platform deep into the Microsoft Ecosystem with Exchange, ADDS, Business Intelligence (BI), Excel and Visio Services.

We are also putting new partnerships in place that will enable BeMo to offer even more great add-ons for Project Server.

Stay tuned for more announcement to come over the next few weeks.

Version 1.2 – Update and News

Time just happens to be flying – especially when you are enjoying what you are doing – last week (on November 11) happened to be BeMo’s first month anniversary and we can tell you that we are very pleased with our progress to date – this week, we received three emails from BeMo customers telling us how much they have been impressed by the provisioning speed (for some customers it took even less than 30 minutes – just 11 minutes!) as well as the very good response time of their instance – it was all just really good to hear.

Again, even with good feedback, we are not resting and we continue to work hard to improve our product. On Friday, we released our 1.2 version – this updated version includes:

  • Fixes issues related to our FAQs
  • Remove a certification error our users were facing (being prompted when using BeMo Terminal services to enter extra credentials)
  • Updated the terms of services
  • Enhanced user experience making updates within the “My Account page”
  • Allow order form to accept address in 44 countries (mainly Europe) outside US and Canada.
  • Added language services pack (Deploy Finnish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, Dutch, and Portuguese)
  • Allow user to create a BeMo account without buying a product or service
  • Fixed diverse provisioning issues making the entire process better and more robust every week
  • Fixed an issue where Project Managers cannot modify resource fields

On the marketing front, we have also been busy as well! We launched our first ever BeMo promo (sign up for a 3-month subscription now, and get a 4th month free”

This week, Joel is in Barcelona attending the Project Momentum 2010 conference! If you happen to attend, please feel free to say ‘Hello’
